Michelle Heaton became the second star to be eliminated from Dancing On Ice on Sunday night (January 29), and fans were left fuming at the decision. The Liberty X singer said she was "gutted" to be leaving the ITV skating contest after she and her professional skating partner Lukasz Rozycki received the fewest votes from the public combined with the judges' scores.
In a week when there was a surprise announcement of no skate-off during Musicals Week, Michelle was eliminated after landing at the bottom of the leaderboard. She looked close to tears as she was interviewed by hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. very second of it." She then issued an apology to Lukasz, saying: "I'm just so sorry that it was cut short."

Fans were already unimpressed when their routine only scored 20 points out of a possible 40 from the judges, and they many were disappointed when Michelle was sent home over EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer who was near the bottom of the leaderboard in Musicals Week and just above Michelle with 20.5.
It started well for Patsy as she and pro partner Matt Evers took to the rink to skate to Defying Gravity from Wicked, but they ran into trouble as Patsy stumbled and fell onto the ice, with Matt helping her up. Seeing Patsy making this error, yet finishing above Michelle and staying in the contest, did not go down well with many viewers.
Loose Women star Denise Welch slammed on Twitter: "There is no way Michelle should be at the bottom!!! Totally ridiculous!!!! And @CHRISTI27226391 fumed: "So thanks to the marking by the so called judges Michelle leaves, when it should have been Patsy - not bothering watching this rubbish again."
@MichelleSteer9 wrote: "This show is not about dancing on ice. It is about popularity. How the hell did Patsy get through over Michelle when she fell over?" @HiftleJanice demanded: "ITV... explanations, please. So unfair. She may not be the best skater but she was way better than Patsy Palmer and Ekin Su. Shame on you judges!" And @sambates1597 said: "I'm glad Patsy got through and I did vote for her but DOI did do michelle dirty!"
@Boppity_Boo34 wrote: "Michelle should have got through instead of Patsy." And @sammylouise_92 commented: "Patsy actually fell over but Michelle is going out #wrong."
