Dancing on Ice star Bez somehow made it through to next week’s show after judges on the show said he was ‘improving’.
The Happy Mondays’ maracas shaker had the nation in stitches with an Indiana Jones dance routine - and went straight through despite getting the lowest score.
The dancer and professional Mancunian was praised for not falling over, as he cemented his place as the comedy turn on this year’s Dancing on Ice.

With those in charge of safety still making him wear a helmet on the ice, Bez disguised it with an Indiana Jones trademark hat, and seemed to have a lot of padding going on under the adventurer’s costume too.
After a hilarious opening dance in his first week, which saw him dance to the Happy Mondays’ big hit Step On, dressed as some kind of melon, Bez showed signs of what two weeks’ practice can do on the ice.
And that was noticed by Olympic legends and judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean. All four judges gave Bez and partner Angela Egan scores of 4.5 - meaning his score of just 12.5 in the first week went rocketing up to 18 this week. But that was still lower than anyone else, putting him at risk of ending in the dance off.
But the Great British Voting Public saved the ageing indie rocker, with votes flooding in on the texts and phonelines, keeping him in the competition for another week.
“I can’t believe them scores, I was aiming for fours but 4.5 surpassed that,” he said. “I want to talk about pressure - Indiana Jones, now he is a character,” he added.
Christopher Dean praised Bez for his improvement. “You’re getting better,” he said. “There was more content, you had props, you had stop, drop and rolls. I know you find this challenging, but that impressed me immensely.”
Fellow judge Ashley Banjo said his routine, which even involved a rolling boulder - like the classic Indiana Jones film - was ‘a mini-movie’, while Jayne Torvill said: “You definitely improved. You are getting better. The dive into the roll takes a lot of courage.”
With Bez saved by the public vote, Lorraine presenter Bria Hebden was eventually eliminated after a dance-off with Rachel Stevens.
