Dagenham: Two teenagers arrested after woman killed in east London car crash

Two teenagers were arrested after a woman in her 40s was killed in a collision in east London on Sunday.

The collision between a car and two pedestrians in Dagenham’s Ager Avenue around 1.15pm left one woman dead and another woman injured.

The first victim died at the scene, while the second woman’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The occupants of the car, an 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy, were arrested and later bailed pending further enquiries, said police.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses.

Officers from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command said they would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or captured it on dash cam or CCTV.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Serious Collision Unit on 020 8597 4874, or via 101 quoting reference CAD 3733/18Aug.
