Dad dies after showing first signs of cancer as he celebrated daughter's 16th birthday

A dad has tragically died after showing his first signs of cancer while celebrating his daughter's 16th birthday.

John Strutt, from North Belfast, passed away at the age of 47 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

He began feeling unwell during a concert and when he visited his GP a few days later, on his daughter's birthday, he was sent to Antrim Hospital as he "wasn't a good colour".
