Culture Night Belfast: No event to take place this year as 'complete rethink' needed

Belfast Culture Night NI

The popular Culture Night Belfast event has been cancelled for 2022 with a "complete rethink" set to take place.

Since it began in 2009, Culture Night has grown to become one of the biggest free cultural events in the city with attendances of around 100,000 in 2019.

Although recognising this news will be "disappointing to some within the [arts] community", the director of the Cathedral Quarter Trust and Culture Night Belfast said the rethink will pave the way for the development of an exciting new format for the event.
