Midfielder Tyler Brown has been thrown an AFL lifeline by Adelaide, signing a one-year rookie contract with the Crows.
Brown was delisted by Collingwood at the end of last season after playing 27 AFL games over five years for the Magpies.
"I'm very grateful for getting another opportunity to join an AFL club," Brown said in a statement on Wednesday.
"I felt welcome here as soon as I walked in the door."
Brown fills one of two vacant list spots at the Crows after they placed winger Paul Seedsman on their inactive list due to ongoing concussion issues, and Fischer McAsey's decision to walk away from the sport.
Brown, a son of former Collingwood captain Gavin Brown, was signed as a pre-season supplemental selection after arriving in Adelaide this week for a trial training period.
