Crimson Desert's Kliff actor would play the character "forever," and thinks his relationship with other key characters is "territory that can be even further developed"

Kliff seen in the Crimson Desert official launch trailer.

Now that Crimson Desert's firmly established as one of the biggest games of the year, the big question becomes if we'll see more of the fantastical sandbox. While we wait to hear more of what Pearl Abyss has in store, the voice behind protagonist Kliff is clear he'll happily come back.

Alec Newman, the actor who portrays our hero in the game, said as much during an interview with Fall Damage. "If they asked me, I'd happily record Kliff forever," he says at one point, addressing the topic again in another answer.

"Those relationships are very rich," he muses, while talking about Crimson Desert's supporting cast. "Some of the most fruitful stuff was between Kliff and Oongka for me. They do have history together, which feeds into why their relationship and their bond is so strong, and it's a similar thing with Damiane. It's territory that could be even further developed."

Crimson Desert has a wealth of side-characters who offer narrative runway for expansions. Oongka in particular is ripe for some form of prequel, to fill parts of he and Kliff's storied past and help contextualize their current situation.

There are plenty of others as well, such as Matthias, who tests your sword-fighting early on. The developers aren't short of potential directions for major DLC, or even a follow-up when the time comes to decide on that.

For the time-being, the team is focused on updates and patches to make sure everyone's enjoying the release to the fullest. But I suspect it won't be long before Crimson Desert 2 or similar starts to become a prevalent topic.

Only 6.8% of Crimson Desert players on Steam have finished the open-world game 2 months after launch, and that means 93.2% of them are playing it right
