Covid testing wealth divide exposed as poll reveals better off are far more likely to pay for lateral flows

Wealthier people feeling unwell with Covid symptoms are far more likely to pay for a test than the less well off when they stop being free on Friday in England, a new poll reveals.

The Ipsos survey showed 43 per cent of people earning more than £55,000 would do this to check whether they have got the virus.
