Cost of filling family car risen by £5 in two weeks as fuel prices surge

  • Average UK forecourt prices reached 170.54p per litre for petrol and 192.86p for diesel on Tuesday, marking the highest levels since August and July 2022 respectively.
  • The cost of filling a family car has risen by nearly £5 since the start of September, taking a full tank to £94 for petrol and £106 for diesel.
