Coronation Street is lining up a "rollercoaster" Christmas this year, with a "bumpy ride" in store for some residents on the ITV soap.
It's said there will be the usual fun and joy, but the episodes, especially Christmas Day, will be "memorable" and full of "surprises".
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror at the Inside Soap Awards earlier this month, Dee-Dee Bailey actress Channique Sterling-Brown spilled all on the festive episodes, and what's ahead for her character.
She made her debut recently on the ITV soap, and actress Channique confirmed to us that there was plenty of stuff to come for Dee-Dee, including a storyline she is really excited about.
She told us of Christmas and beyond: "We are going in a great direction in the lead up to Christmas. I think there is gonna be some great surprises, and some really important issues are tackled.
"Also it's Corrie, so there is gonna be fun and laughter. I am really excited about a storyline I am working on at the minute."
On Christmas Day, she went on: "They started filming this week actually, it's gonna be an enjoyable one I think. It will be a bit of a rollercoaster, and a bit of a bumpy ride but it will also be an exciting and memorable one."
While discussing her "whirlwind" few months on the soap since Dee-Dee's arrival, she also shared her sadness over her onscreen brother James Bailey, played by actor Nathan Graham, leaving the show.
She said: "It was so great to get to work with him even though it was for such a short time. I almost felt the loss like everyone. The time was limited but I was grateful to have it and work with the full family."
On what she hopes is ahead for her character, she revealed Dee-Dee would appear in scenes with characters fans will not expect her to, while adding what she'd love to do more of.
She said: "I hope she settles in and I really hope she gets more opportunities in court and stuff."
