Coronation Street aired a moment of justice on Monday night, but it was quickly followed by a devastating discovery.
Ryan Connor had a lot going through his mind in the latest episode, as he waited to find out if evil Justin was going to prison or not for his recent attack on him.
In horrific scenes, Justin threw acid at his stalking victim Daisy Midgeley, but as Ryan stepped out to help Daisy, he was hit with the acid.
Ryan suffered serious burns to his face and body and has been recovering from his physical injuries, as well as the mental scarring, ever since.
Justin showed no remorse for the crime and even tried to set up Ryan as if he was planning to use it, leaving Ryan and Daisy horrified.
But the jury realised Justin's lies, and during Monday's episode they gave their verdict.
As the guilty verdict came in, Justin looked stunned as Ryan, Daisy and the others cheered with relief.
Justin was led away by officers and told he would be sentenced at a later date, while it's not known if Justin will feature in any more scenes.
Ryan headed home with his aunt Carla Connor, not keen on heading out or even spending time with anyone, wanting to be by himself so he could process everything.
Someone he did want to speak to was Crystal, while Ryan remains in the dark about the true identity of the person he's been messaging for weeks.
Bar promoter Crystal had flirted with Ryan and offered him a gig in Ibiza before the acid attack, but afterwards she cruelly ditched him - while she didn't tell him this.
Unable to tell him that Crystal no longer wanted anything to do with him, Daisy instead used a second phone to message Ryan as Crystal.
For weeks Ryan has believed he has a chance with her unaware it's Daisy he's been talking to, but on Monday that came to a shocking end.
After Daisy stopped messaging Ryan as the newcomer, he panicked and feared something was wrong - only to make a worrying discovery.
He revealed to Carla that a message online confirmed Crystal was at death's door after an accident, which has left her in a coma.
Ryan told Carla that Crystal might die, but in that moment he began receiving new messages from 'Crystal' and he realised he was being catfished.
So will Daisy finally be exposed, and will the real Crystal survive?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
