Corrie fans left confused over victim blaming as they predict Daisy and Ryan drama will 'hit the fan'

Coronation Street fans have been left scratching their heads over the building tension between Daisy Midgeley and Ryan Connor. As stalker Justin Rutherford appeared in court for the devastating acid attack that left Ryan with life-changing injuries after his intended target was Daisy, there was drama in the ITV soap as his sister Karen made an appearance.

Ryan and Carla Connor were appalled to see Justin’s sister in the Rovers and a row ensued. Throwing insults, Ryan reminded Daisy of how she went out of her way to split him up from his ex Alya Nazir.

Karen admitted that she had passed on what she gleaned about Daisy’s history of manipulation to Justin’s lawyer, leaving Ryan too distraught to face the court. As Daisy begged Ryan to reconsider as without his evidence, Justin could walk free, Ryan turned on her about her manipulative past.

"It's the truth," he fumed. "We were meant to have the truth on our side but not anymore. The truth is you did split me and Alya up." And he told her: "You're a manipulative cow who lies and cheats." An upset Daisy pleaded: "What I did was awful but I'm not like that anymore."

Soap watchers have hoped that the shocking events, on what was supposed to be Daisy's wedding day with Daniel Osbourne, could eventually bring happiness for her and Ryan as they have seen them grow closer. So they were rattled to see Ryan and Carla 'blaming' Daisy, who was stalked by Justin for months after he met her in a hospital waiting room after she had a cancer scare.

@griannedoherty3 tweeted: "Wait, didn't Carla once have her very own stalker? Going by her logic of blaming Daisy for Justin was that Carla's own fault? Also bit hypocritical her saying Daisy leads men down the garden path? When she's slept with her own Brother-In-Law, Nephew (By Marriage) etc"

And they made the point: "Sorry Carla but she's totally got this wrong. Daisy did nothing but speak to Justin briefly in a waiting room & he became completely obsessed & not for the first time according to his Sister. Yes, Ryan's a victim but so is Daisy. If the Police had listened to her sooner."

A puzzled @JamieSummersTV asked: "Daisy has all the stalking messages. How is any of it a lie?" And @Louise49673572 fumed: "F***ing hell Carla, blaming Daisy for being stalked!! Justin’s creepy sister taking it all in to report back."

A hopeful @corriedalexo said: "Daisy and Ryan hoping they get the justice they deserve and they can stand up against Justin." However, viewers are worried what will happen when Ryan finds out that Daisy has been messaging him pretending to be his friend Crystal from Ibiza in order to give him a boost after the attack.

@cassam101 exclaimed: "Wait til Ryan finds out about Crystal ! I wouldn't like to be Daisy then." And @Dee_Cee95x said: "S*** is gonna absolutely hit the fan when Ryan finds out Daisy is pretending to be Crystal."
