Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney recently made a shock reappearance on the soap as Tyrone Dobbs' mother Cassie Plummer.
Tyrone had always believed that his mum was Jackie Dobbs but discovered in 2018 that he was adopted and connected with grandmother Evelyn.
She had previously told him that his biological mother was dead, however, it was revealed this week that Evelyn hadn't actually trusted Cassie to look after him because of her drug habit and the fact that she had abandoned him at a police station.
Last month, Cassie made an explosive return after taking herself out of the hospital and introduced herself to Tyrone as 'Cathy'.
Deciding that she wanted to get her daughter some help, Evelyn arranged for a cab to take them both away so Cassie could detox in a hotel room for two weeks.
Speaking about her next return, Claire appeared on Lorraine Kelly's ITV show to reveal she's back filming with her "amazing co-stars".
She said: "I'm back in the thick of filming. I'm working with the wonderful Alan Halsall, Maureen [Lipman] and Sally Carman as well.
"All these great people, I love it."
She recently opened up about her character's conversation between Cassie and Abi Webster.
"I think that might be on the cards, yeah," she explained when asked about future scenes together.
"I think, you know, I don’t know if Abi wants to help Cassie or not, I don’t know that far in the storyline but there are a few scenes with them together at the moment, yeah."
Last month saw Evelyn spotting her daughter across the street when Cassie made her debut.
Evelyn chose to ignore her daughter but was later stopped in her tracks after receiving a call telling her Cassie has been rushed to A&E.
She later called the hospital but found that Cassie had discharged herself. When she arrived home, Evelyn bumped into Tyrone who said that someone called Cath stopped by to see her.
Horrified, Evelyn walked in to see Cassie grinning at her from her spot on the sofa and when Tyrone asked how they know each other, Evelyn panicked.
Evelyn then made the decision to help her daughter detox.
Tyrone was left shocked by her very sudden departure - and so were viewers, who flocked to Twitter to share their disappointment.
One tweeted: "This is Evelyn's temporary leaving story. She can't come back soon enough. Lipman's been superb these last few weeks and has been on screen a lot more than usual #Corrie."
Another agreed, writing: "Maureen plays Evelyn so bloody well like i actually have ghost bumps from her acting this week #Corrie."
