Coronation Street's Alan Halsall beams alongside rarely seen daughter and co-star girlfriend in Disney after ex's remarks

Coronation Street star Alan Halsall couldn't have looked happier as he shares a snap of himself at Walt Disney World in Florida. The actor, who is famed for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, has ditched the cobbles for a couple of weeks to enjoy the magic Disney has to offer.

Taking to his Instagram Story, Alan shared a snap of himself alongside his daughter, Sienna-Rae, and his girlfriend, former Corrie co-star Tisha Merry. The trio were grinning from ear-to-ear as they posed outside Cinderella's Castle in the Disney park

Alan, 40, who shares Sienna with his ex-wife, fellow soap star Lucy-Jo Hudson, shared the images alongside a GIF which read: "Make a dream come true," while also setting to the sweet snap to The Mamas track, When You Wish Upon a Star.

The adorable image comes after Lucy-Jo, who now stars in Hollyoaks, shared her sadness at having to wave off her daughter for two weeks as she opened up about having to 'share' the nine-year-old with her former husband.

While Alan is famed for having played mechanic Tyrone for the best part of two decades, it has been 20 years since Lucy-Jo played troubled teenager Katy in Weatherfield. Her dramatic time on the cobbles included her forbidden relationship with older man Martin Platt, which led to her murdering her own dad Tommy with a wrench, her diabetic diagnosis and in her departing storyline she took her own life.

After seven years of marriage, having tied the knot in 2009, the former couple announced that they had separated back in 2016 - saying at the time they would remain close friends. However, on that occasion, they reconciled a month later before splitting again in 2018.

Lucy went on to find love with Lewis Devine, whom she first met when they appeared together in pantomime in 2017, and the couple share a son together, Carter, while Alan has been in a relationship with former co-star Tisha, who played Steph Britton in the Salford-based soap, for a number of years.

Taking to Instagram, Lucy-Jo shared pictures of herself and Sienna at her recent 40th birthday party. The pair looked gorgeous in sparking dresses and nine-year-old Sienna couldn't hide her smile as Lucy-Jo planted a kiss on her cheek. "So my big girl Sienna-Rae, has gone away for 2 weeks with her dad to Florida," the mum-of-two penned.

"I'm soooooo excited for her, cos I know she is gonna absolutely love it…. but if I’m totally honest…. I feel so sad that I won’t be creating these memories with her, and god am I going to miss her. Such mixed emotions." She then added: "Ahhh its so hard isn’t it? (If you know you know)," alongside a broken heart emoji.

She went on to heap praise on her little girl and how her going away will impact her younger brother. "She is such a beautiful soul and she is so close to her little brother who I know is gonna really struggle with her not being around, especially now he’s getting older, he’s so much more aware of her not being there when she goes to her dads," Lucy-Jo shared.

"But @lewis_devine1987 and I have got plans for Carter, to keep him entertained and we’ll help him through the next 2 weeks of mixed emotions. Lew is gonna miss her too as she has a really gorgeous bond with him! He’ll never replace her dad but he is a brilliant male role model in her life! Ahhhh I know it’s only 2 weeks but why does that feel like a lifetime?"

Opening up about co-parenting, Lucy-Jo typed: "It’s been almost 6 years of me having to share my Sienna, and you’d think I’d be used to it by now but I’m not! I cope a lot better than I did, as I know it’s just a part of being in a separated family, you have to get used it, don’t you? But it really doesn’t get any easier does it?" She rounded off her post by saying: "Have the best time Sienna baby. I love and miss you already."
