Detectives are appealing to the public for information after the 25-year-old man was assaulted and robbed in Robertson Park. It is believed that the incident happened between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday September 28.

The victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious facial injuries. Cops say personal items as well as a black mountain bike with white breaks were also taken.

Police are now hunting two suspects in connection with the incident.

The first suspect is described as male, white, late teens or early 20s with blonde hair. He was wearing a white hooded top, dark tracksuit bottoms, dark trainers and was carrying an over the shoulder strap pouch bag and a glass bottle.

The second is described as male, white, late teens or early 20s with dark hair. He was wearing a blue tracksuit top, bright blue tracksuit bottoms, checked scarf, dark trainers and was carrying a dark rucksack with stripes on the rear and a glass bottle.

Detective Constable James Campbell said: “This was a vicious, unprovoked attack on a vulnerable young man who has ended up in hospital as a result.

“It’s vital we trace those responsible and I would urge anyone with information about what happened or who recognises the description of these males to get in touch with us.”
