A conservative congressman from Tennessee, Rep. Andy Ogles, is making headlines as the state holds primary elections. Ogles, a member of the House Freedom Caucus and a vocal critic of President Biden, is seeking re-election in Tennessee's 5th Congressional District. He faces a primary challenge from Nashville councilwoman Courtney Johnston.
Ogles gained attention for filing articles of impeachment against Vice President Kamala Harris, both last year and again after she became the Democratic nominee. Despite facing controversies in the past, Ogles has the support of former President Trump, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and Sen. Bill Hagerty.
