In a thrilling WNBA matchup, the Connecticut Sun emerged victorious over the Chicago Sky with a final score of 82-80. The game came down to the wire, with Alyssa Thomas sealing the win for the Sun by sinking two crucial free throws with just 4.1 seconds remaining on the clock.

Marina Mabrey was the standout performer for the Sun, coming off the bench to score 24 points, including five 3-pointers. Thomas also had an impressive all-around performance, contributing 12 points, 11 assists, nine rebounds, and four steals.

Chicago's Angel Reese put up a strong effort, finishing with 13 points and an incredible 20 rebounds. She made history by becoming the only rookie in WNBA history to achieve back-to-back games with 20 or more rebounds. Reese now holds the record for the most double-doubles in a season with 21.

The Sun held a 45-35 lead at halftime, but the Sky fought back in the third quarter, outscoring Connecticut 29-18 to take a one-point lead heading into the final period. Chicago extended their lead to 74-68, but Mabrey's clutch plays helped the Sun close the gap.

In the closing minutes of the game, both teams traded free throws, with the Sun ultimately coming out on top. Bonner's 15 points and Jones' 12 points also played a crucial role in Connecticut's victory.

With this win, the Sun improved their season record to 21-7, while the Sky fell to 11-17. The game showcased the competitive spirit and talent of both teams, making it a memorable contest for WNBA fans.
