UPDATE: Shannon has now been located. The public have been thanked for their help.

Police have launched an urgent appeal after a teenager has been missing for days.

The 17-year-old was reported missing on Monday, January 17 and hasn't been seen since.

Shannon, from the Aberystwyth area, has links to Cardigan and police are urging people to report any sightings of her. Officers have not given her surname.

Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of 17-year-old Shannon, who has been missing from Aberystwyth since Monday (January 17).

"Shannon is described as thin, around 5ft 5ins tall, with blonde and pink hair.

"Officers think she is in the Pembroke/Pembroke Dock area, but she also has links to Cardigan."

If you have seen Shannon, or know of her whereabouts, you're asked to report it to Dyfed-Powys Police, either online at https://bit.ly/DPP101Online or by emailing 101@dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk.

Reports can also be made by calling 101, quoting Ref: DP-20220117-195.
