Upon joining the Indianapolis Colts, defensive end Yannick Ngakoue will have played for five different teams since August 2020.
Despite the need for pass rushers, Ngakoue has been traded far more times than he should be. Fortunately for him, there will be plenty of time for revenge on his former teams during the 2022 season.
While the official schedule hasn’t come out yet, we do know who the Colts will be playing for the upcoming campaign.
And on that list of teams includes three of the four other teams Ngakoue has played for during his career.
The former third-round pick will have the chance to go up against the team that drafted him in the Jacksonville Jaguars. The regime has changed since 2016, but Ngakoue will get two chances to get some revenge being a division rival.
While it was only for a few months during the 2020 season, Ngakoue will also be facing off against the Minnesota Vikings. They wound up trading him to the Baltimore Ravens at the trade deadline. That game against the Vikings in 2022 will be away.
Finally, Ngakoue will get to face off against the Raiders—his most recent team. The Colts have played against the Raiders in each of the last four seasons. The 2022 campaign will make it five in a row.
The only team not on the schedule that Ngakoue has played for is the Ravens.
The Colts need their pass rush to step up in a big way with Ngakoue in the fold, and he’ll have plenty of motivation throughout the 2022 season.
