The Indianapolis Colts (4-6-1) are just about set to host the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-7) at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday for a Week 12 bout.
Both teams have struggled throughout the 2022 season, mostly because of their respective offenses. While the Steelers have had rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett going through some growing pains, the offensive line for the Colts has held the unit back immensely.
The Colts opened the week as three-point favorites. According to Tipico Sportsbook, here’s a look at the updated odds going into the weekend:
Spread | Moneyline | Total Points | |
Pittsburgh Steelers (3-7) | +2.5 | +115 | O 39 -111 |
Indianapolis Colts (4-6-1) | -2.5 | -135 | U 39 -109 |
The spread shifted half of a point in the favor of the Steelers since the opening odds. The moneyline also has been updated. The total for the game rose half of a point from 38.5.
This is likely to be a game that features a defensive battle against struggling offenses. The Steelers defense may not be the stalwart we’re used to seeing, but their front seven is still one of the best in the game.
Meanwhile, the Colts defense is a unit that is constantly slept on this season. Their defense ranks 10th in Football Outsiders’ DVOA, which includes the sixth-best run defense.
This game could very well come down to who makes the fewest mistakes and that spread will likely be a perfect line for Vegas.
