The legend of Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders continues to grow after his huge performance on Saturday night against Colorado State. Three games into the season and Sanders is making a strong case to be among the top quarterbacks selected in the 2024 NFL draft.
Colorado State did their best to keep Sanders off balance but no matter what they tried, he had a response. In the end, Sanders led his team on a 98-yard touchdown drive late to tie the game before beating the Rams in 2 overtimes.
Sanders stat line was ridiculous again this week. 81 percent completion percentage, 348 passing yards and four passing touchdowns. Sanders also had a pair of nice runs but in the boxscore, they don’t show up because sacks count against his total.
The 2024 NFL draft class of quarterbacks is shaping up to be elite with five or six guys who can make a case to be in the first round. With each passing week, Sanders convinces us he is a part of that group. Sanders showed incredible leadership and resiliency on Saturday, especially given his top target, Travis Hunter, was out for much of the game with an injury.
