Colin Cowherd is still on the Bo Nix/Sean Payton train.
Although the Broncos lost a close call to the Seattle Seahawks last week, Cowherd is still doubling down on his support for Denver. The Broncos will face off against the 1-0 Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, and the long-time media host believes that the Broncos will defeat the Steelers in Week 2.
“I think Sean Payton and his guys … they may not have great personnel, but they held the Seahawks to 158 passing yards and got two turnovers,” said Cowherd on The Herd. “I’ve said all offseason: I think Denver’s personnel is better than you think.”
Nix didn’t have the best start to his rookie campaign, going 26-42, passing for 138 yards while throwing two interceptions and taking two sacks. For a first-round pick, it wasn’t bad, but it was not quite the debut fans hoped to see. However, Week 2 turns a new leaf for Denver, and we can only help they prove Cowherd right with a win.
