Coleen Nolan sent chills across the Loose Women panel and the studio audience on Wednesday as she relived a terrifying memory involving her son Jake being followed home from school by a stranger.
Nolans singer and former Celebrity Big Brother champion Coleen was back on the ITV lunchtime show to join host Christine Lampard and colleagues Katie Piper and Jane Moore and one of the topics they discussed was the fuss around a social media post from a parent, asking if it was OK to let their 11-year-child travel on a train on their own.
The post has gone viral online, with many other parents offering their opinions and, when opening up the debate to the Loose Women team, Christine explained that when she was 11 she'd get on two buses every day to go to school, while admitting she was surrounded by other children and was in a very quiet and rural area.

And it was then that Coleen opened up about something that happened to her son Jake, when he was in year 6 at school. She told her co-stars that, after having him pester her for ages to let him walk the 10 minute distance from school to home, she'd reluctantly agreed.
Recalling what happened one day, Coleen said that she told Jake to be in the house for 3.20pm and as the time ticked by to 3.45, she became more and more concerned, before getting a phone call from an estate agents to say that Jake had gone in there having been convinced he was being followed by an older man.
Elaborating on what happened as her fellow panellists and the crowd in the studio gasped, Coleen continued: "He'd walked home and just felt like this man was following him. He said 'I kept stopping at the shops to look in the windows to see if he carried on.' But he didn't, so every time Jake stopped, he'd stop and then he saw this estate agents and just ran in and said 'Someone's following me.'"
After Katie replied: "At least he was sensible enough to do that," Coleen added: "From that moment on I was like 'You're never walking anywhere ever again!'"
