Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal were kept apart after an expletive-laden press conference ahead of their UFC 272 grudge fight.
Masvidal brought out a "one of one" burnt panini card of Covington in a briefcase as the bitter rivals traded several personal insults.
Security held on to both fighters to prevent a scuffle from breaking out as UFC boss Dana White also played peacemaker during the face-off.
Masvidal laughed as Covington attempted to rile him up and he reacted by trying to kick his rival's leg, but his attempt didn't connect.
Covington brought up Masvidal's family by stating he would have to pay half of his fight purse to the mother of his children.
And Masvidal reacted by stating: "I knew a long time ago getting into the sport that I'd deal with pieces of s*** like him left and right, so it's just business and another big pay check for me.
Masvidal got out of his seat and pretended to throw a water bottle at Covington after he accused him of having federal assistance benefits in the past.
"You're a handout little b****. You took a PPP loan, you take an Obama phone. Have you still got your Obama phone? You're a lying a** piece of s***," Covington said.
"You won't do s***. You're all talk no walk b****, this ain't Tony Montana you're 'Phony Montana'".
Covington even accused his former coach Mike Brown, who will corner Masvidal this Saturday, of using performance-enhancing drugs during his UFC career.
"He brought that drug addict Mike Brown with him," he said. "The guy that did GHB before all his fights. You brought that addict with you, Jorge? Did you bring that druggie?"
Covington used to train at American Top Team but was kicked out of the gym along with Masvidal after their friendship started to affect the other gym members.

Masvidal said his friendship went sour with Covington after he allegedly didn’t pay the agreed five per cent of his interim title win purse to coach Paulinho Hernandez.
'Chaos' has refuted the allegations and credited Masvidal's "jealousy" for his UFC success as the reason the former roommates turned into enemies.
And White thinks there has never been a rivalry like Covington and Masvidal's in promotional history.
"I don't know if there's ever been one like this where the guys were actually teammates, roommates, friends and cornerman," he said.
"These guys go way back and I don't think there's ever been one like this, not even close."
