STEVE CLARKE has named the Scotland squad for the upcoming friendly against Turkey.
The national team boss has selected a 23-man squad to take to Diyarbakir.
However, no Celtic players have made the cut with the club heading to Australia for the Sydney Super Cup.
Ange Postecoglou yesterday confirmed Celtic would not release any players for the friendly match with the trip Down Under the priority.
While he talked up the "great" relationship between Celtic and Scotland, Postecoglou insisted Celtic are obliged to take the best possible team to Australia.
He reckons it's only fair that the players not heading to the World Cup go to Australia with fans having forked out the cash to see the team Down Under.
The Celtic boss said: “The international games coming up in this break are not sort of compulsory for us to release players.
“From our perspective, the Australian trip is an important part of our football club and we want to take our strongest possible team there.
“We will always be supportive of the national team and Steve Clarke has always been great with us in terms of his relationship with the club.
“But all of our players who won’t be going to the World Cup will be coming with us.
“We’re obviously taking a team to Australia. People have bought tickets and want to see the best possible Celtic side.
“Obviously we can’t take the players who are going to the World Cup, but we have obligations there to the people who have spent the money that we go there with the strongest possible team and that’s what we’ll be doing.”
The Celtic contingent missing the squad has opened up room with Calvin Ramsey handed a spot in the national team.
Andy Robertson, Kieran Tierney and Nathan Patterson are all back in the international fold after injury during the last break.
Lewis Ferguson is also included in the squad having impressed in Italy but Aaron Hickey misses out through injury.
