City beat Victory despite Mata spark in ALM derby

Coach Aurelio Vidmar has hailed his "incredible" Melbourne City side after the A-League Men champions overcame injury and travel to deliver a 2-0 derby win over a Juan Mata-inspired but wasteful Melbourne Victory.

In-form City striker Max Caputo, 20, scored 83 seconds in and while brilliant Spanish playmaker Mata turned in one of his best performances yet, Victory couldn't overrun their crosstown rivals.
