Christian Pulisic has taken to social media after he returned to the Chelsea side following over two months out injured. The USMNT star hadn't featured since January 5 before he set foot on the pitch once more as a second half substitute during the 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund.
The 24-year-old winger has history in the competition too, scoring in the Champions League semi-final win over Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge in 2021 as well as a stunning solo goal in the away leg. His appearance here was timely for his side too, with Chelsea overcoming a first leg deficit to reach the quarter-finals.
Although Graham Potter didn't go with Pulisic from the start, instead opting for same front three that faced Leeds on Saturday, he did come on in place of Joao Felix to see the game out.

With an international break on the horizon, Pulisic's return comes at a good time for his national side, and they made the positive feelings clear with a reply to the former captain on Instagram. Pulisic posted an image of himself dribbling, writing: "Special night at the Bridge," to which the USMNT account replied: "He's back."
As well as this, the attacker shared an image onto his story with the caption, "What a night, happy to be back."
With four weeks until the second leg Pulisic now has the chance to regain fitness fully before hoping to get himself into contention to play. He was preferred as a late introduction to Mykhailo Mudryk, though there is still a battle to force himself in over Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz or Felix.
His next chance to play is against Leicester as he looks to get back into domestic action on Saturday.
