Families are being warned about a number of children's toys and other items that have been recalled over safety fears.
The recall notices, issued by the Office for Product Safety and Standards, are for items that pose choking hazards or could risk burns. The products, all listed on the Chartered Trading Standards Institute website, includes toys, earrings and a children's hair detangler.
Some of them were being sold online on sites including Amazon, eBay and Etsy, however the listings have now been taken down. Parents who may have any of these items at home are being urged not to use them.

Libra Frog Intelligent Game
This is a child's frog-shaped balancing scales toy with weights and numbers.
Risk type: Choking and asphyxiation
Risk description: The product has been identified as presenting a serious risk of choking as the product contains small parts which can be swallowed by a young child and block their airways. The product also presents a risk of asphyxiation as the flexible plastic bags in which the toy's accessories are supplied in have an area greater than 100 mm x 100 mm and their average sheet thickness are between 0.023 mm and 0.025 mm which is less than the permissible 0.038 mm. Additionally, the product does not comply fully with the marking requirements of the relevant standard. The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

Risk type : Burns
Risk description: The product has been identified as presenting a medium risk of burns. The construction of the product is insufficient and, because it is designed for use by young children, it is likely to be dropped or thrown and there is therefore an increased risk of the product short circuiting. A short circuit of the product may result in the surface of the plastic screen of the phone reaching 54.9 degrees Celsius. The child may pick up the phone and burn their hand, face, or ear. The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

Risk description: The product poses a risk of burns as when tested the temperature rise, the product exceeded the permissible temperature limits in the accidental short circuit test, the failure of electronic components test and the test to identify components of an incorrect specification. Additionally, the product failed the drop test and the product does not comply fully with the marking requirements of the relevant standard. The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
