A child has sustained a broken ankle during a crash involving a vehicle, police have said. The collision took place at Ridingleaze, in Lawrence Weston at around 4.30pm on Monday, July 10.
Avon and Somerset Police officers were called to the road following reports of a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian. The child was cared for by paramedics for a broken ankle.
One eyewitness said there were "lots of police, ambulance" in the area. They added the crash took place near the Premier and the pharmacy on the road.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called to Ridingleaze, in Bristol, at around 4.30pm yesterday (Monday 10 July) following a report of a collision between a vehicle and a child pedestrian.
"Emergency services attended and the child was taken into the care of paramedics for a suspected broken ankle."
