Chiefs Superfan Arrested After Months on the Run From Law Enforcement

The FBI in Kansas City announced Monday that Chiefs superfan Xaviar Babudar was arrested Friday and has been charged with bank theft and transporting stolen property across state lines. Babudar, nicknamed “ChiefsAholic,” was on the run after skipping a March court appearance in connection to an alleged December 2022 bank robbery in Oklahoma.

The Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers tabbed Babudar as a special person of interest and added him to its list of most wanted fugitives. He gained notoriety on social media for dressing as a wolf at Chiefs games.

He was arrested in Lincoln, California. Between April and December 2022, per an official affidavit, Babudar bought and redeemed more than $1 million in chips from casinos in Missouri, Kansas and Illinois. Babudar traveled throughout the Midwest and is believed to be involved in a string of bank robberies and attempted bank robberies.

According to the release, the affidavit refers to four bank robberies in Nebraska, Iowa, Tennessee and Oklahoma and the attempted robberies of two credit unions in Minnesota.

The 28-year-old will appear in court Monday afternoon.
