The Kansas City Chiefs added another offensive playmaker for Patrick Mahomes, agreeing to terms with former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. The speedy wideout will join Kansas City on a one-year deal worth up to $11 million, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.
Brown has the type of playmaking speed the Chiefs offense lacked last season, and he’ll step in as an instant-impact deep threat for Mahomes and the offense. The fit makes perfect sense, which is why it’s not surprising that head coach Andy Reid sent Brown a great one-line reminder of Kansas City’s interest just hours before the agreement was reported.

Brown revealed the message from Reid on Instagram as the second of two photos posted, with the first a photoshopped image of the wideout in a Chiefs uniform.
“Hollywood, think Red today, KC Red with diamonds!” Reid texted Brown.
Brown spent three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens to begin his career and the most recent two years with Arizona. He’s totaled 313 receptions for 3,644 yards and 28 touchdowns over 72 games.
