Chennai weather today, October 14: Moderate rain likely; Latest IMD update for the city and other Tamil Nadu districts including Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Ramanathapuram

India Meteorological Department Chennai Thoothukudi Tirunelveli Ramanathapuram Tamil Nadu Kanyakumari Nagapattinam

Chennai may receive moderate rain in some areas on Wednesday, October 14, while four southern Tamil Nadu districts are under a heavy-rain warning, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari are likely to receive isolated heavy showers, with thunderstorms and lightning also forecast. IMD has issued further heavy-rain warnings for several districts across Tamil Nadu through October 19.
