Chelsea start life without Graham Potter after the English coach was sacked having been at the helm for just seven months with a clash against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. Bruno Saltor will take the helm as the third head coach under Todd Boehly's ownership in an interim role but has a difficult job to face a Liverpool side looking to return to the European places.
The Blues are the favourites going into this match at 5/4 with Betfred while the Reds are 2/1 and a draw is a 5/2. Each of the last five meetings between the two sides have ended in draws and the visitors have never drawn six in a row against an opponent before, while, as a top-flight side whereas for Chelsea it happened against Burnley in the 1950s.
The visitors currently sit eight points behind fifth-place Manchester United but could return to sixth if Brighton fail to win at Bournemouth tonight too and Jurgen Klopp's side get a win and extend their four-match unbeaten run at Stamford Bridge to five. Just a point separates them but with United, Newcastle and Spurs all level on points, there could be room for the Reds to make a last-minute push for a Champions League place in the business-end of the season.
