Joao Santos, the agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, has named five clubs his client could play for.
Santos has often been fairly outspoken on the midfielder’s future, recently suggesting Juventus were interested in signing the player.
One of the key players as Roberto Mancini took his team to the top of European football last summer, Jorginho initially struggled to wholly convince in England following a £50m move from Napoli in the summer of 2018.
While he remains a big part of Thomas Tuchel’s team and proved influential in last season’s Champions League-winning campaign, the midfielder was often seen as the embodiment of the somewhat unpopular system deployed by Maurizio Sarri when he replaced Antonio Conte.
Jorginho is under contract until the summer of 2023 and, at 30, may not be in line for another big move in his career. That, coupled with the current turmoil at Chelsea, does put his long-term future up for debate.
Speaking at the Pallermo Football Conference, Santos admitted his client’s “heart” was in Serie A while naming the teams he could feasibly join.
“For him, playing in Serie A is a dream,” he said (via TMW).
“His heart is there.
“Today he can play in 4/5 teams: Milan, Inter, Juve, Roma or Napoli.”
