Chelsea star speaks out after pushing over ball boy

  • Pedro Neto has apologised for pushing a ball boy to the ground during Chelsea's 5-2 defeat by Paris St Germain in the Champions League.
  • The incident occurred in stoppage time at the Parc des Princes, with Chelsea trailing 4-2, and sparked a melee after Neto wrestled the ball from the youngster.
  • Neto expressed his remorse to TNT Sports and directly to the ball boy, to whom he also gave his shirt, stating his actions were due to the emotions of the game.
  • The Portuguese winger escaped without any punishment from the referee, and Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior also apologised on behalf of the club.
  • The event drew comparisons to Eden Hazard's 2013 incident involving a ball boy.
