Chelsea are set to hold conversations with Hull City over the futures of Harvey Vale, Xavier Simons and Nathan Baxter. Tigers boss Liam Rosenior has admitted that the trio are in his thoughts ahead of the January transfer window, with Vale and Simons having made a strong impression, despite not featuring since the former Derby coach took the reigns in early November.
Baxter spent last season on loan on Humberside, and his deal for this term sees Hull hold an option to buy the goalkeeper. The 24-year-old has made 12 appearances this term after having to overcome Matt Ingram for the club's No.1 spot, may have it all to do again after returning to the Blues to undergo treatment on an injury before making the bench against Watford at the weekend.
Vale and Simons have been involved in first team plans under Rosenior and travelled to Turkey with the group during the mid-season break. They further travelled to Vicarage Road but did not make the bench as they look to build upon the 67 minutes and eight minutes they have played respectively.

While the Hull boss sounds impressed by what the trio have to offer, Chelsea will have concerns about the playing time that has been on offer so far, particularly if Vale and Simons cannot trouble the first team squad. With conversations set for the end of the month, a close eye will likely be kept on fixtures against Sunderland and Blackpool.
Speaking to Hull Live, Rosenior said: "Yep, they're right in my thoughts. They travelled with us (to Watford) and were unfortunate not to be on the bench.
"They've both made an excellent impression on me. Harvey's got some outstanding abilities and is a really good athlete, Xavi's got everything in a midfield player that I like and he's going to be a great player in the long-term.
"It's taking time for me to get to know the players, to get to know the team and how we can win games in the short-term, but they're both in my thinking for the weekend (against Sunderland). I've had a conversation with Chelsea about those two and Nathan, as well, and we've decided that come the last week in December, first week in January we'll have another conversation on that."
