Calum McFarlane’s two-game stint as caretaker manager ended in defeat as 10-man Chelsea were beaten 2-1 by west London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The final match before Liam Rosenior, who watched on from the stands, takes over as head coach hinged on the first-half red card shown to Marc Cucurella for a last-man foul on Harry Wilson.
