Cesc Fabregas gives Mikel Arteta advice on Arsenal's big problem amid Premier League title fight

Cesc Fabregas has warned Arsenal about the demands of the Europa League amid their potential push for the Premier League title this season. The Gunners have gotten off to an idea start so far, sitting top of the table with seven wins from their opening eight games of the campaign.

It's a quick start that has put the side into the title picture early on, but it remains to be seen if they can truly compete. Their win over Tottenham in the North London Derby certainly put their credentials to the test, but a 3-1 victory in an intense game continued their momentum.

"I’ll leave that to you guys honestly," Mikel Arteta said when asked about when his side are officially in the title picture. "We just started and we’re really happy with where we are. We understand that you can’t control because emotion is related. The table says what it says and we don’t look at that."

The real challenge for the Spaniard could be about to come, with a congested fixture schedule now facing the Gunners during a jampacked October and November before the World Cup. The next game comes in the Europa League against Bodo/Glimt, with Fabregas warning that the competition could hamper their progress elsewhere this season.

The former midfielder said on BT Sport: "It will be tough, it will be a challenge. I am very confident, the only question mark is the Europa League. I played in the Europa League in my last season with Chelsea, you play every Thursday, play far away, come back at 4am and then you have to get ready on the Sunday - early kick-off.

“It’s not easy but it’ll be interesting to see how Mikel will manage the situation but I believe they’re in the right way for sure.” The next month could truly determine how well the club do this season, with a huge few fixtures before the break for the World Cup.
