Ahead of the Queen's funeral on Monday, September 19, dozens of supermarkets and businesses across the nation have confirmed that they will either be closed, or operating on limited opening hours as a mark of respect.
Supermarkets such as Sainsbury's and Aldi confirmed that they will not open on Monday, with many others only opening after the funeral takes place. The closure of holiday destination Center Parcs has also sparked outrage amongst Brits as the popular woodland retreat chain confirmed that they will be asking holidaymakers to leave the area, although people's belongings can stay within their accommodation until Tuesday morning.
The company is being inundated with complaints after it revealed that its five parks will close for 24 hours from 10am on Monday. Guests midway through seven-day holidays - which generally cost more than £1,000 for a family-of-four at this time of year - will be forced to spend the night elsewhere or go home early.

Those due to arrive on Monday for shorter stays are being given the opportunity to begin their breaks a day later. Center Parcs said in a statement that it made the decision "as a mark of respect and to allow as many of our colleagues as possible to be part of this historic moment".
It added: "We hope our guests will understand our decision to support our Queen on her final journey. All guests impacted by the closure will receive an email today explaining the options available."
Other businesses that will be closing on Monday include Odeon Cinemas, with several locations in and around Edinburgh included. Meanwhile, Currys has also confirmed that it will close all of its stores across the UK on the day.
Other major businesses that have said they will be shut in the UK on Monday to mark the proceeding, according to the BBC, include:
- Aldi
- Argos
- B&Q
- Blue Diamond Garden Centres
- Harrods
- Homebase
- Ikea
- John Lewis
- Lidl
- Morrisons
- Primark
Sainsbury's convenience stores and petrol stations will be open from 5pm until 10pm, with Tesco's larger stores closing and the company's Express stores open at 5pm. Waitrose are also set to close a large portion of their stores, with only a small number in London to potentially remain open throughout the ceremony.
