Celtic player ratings vs Hearts as Kyogo delights in Scottish Cup clash and Aaron Mooy on target

Celtic are in to the semi-final of the Scottish Cup after a commanding 3-0 win against Hearts at Tynecastle.

The Hoops got off to a flying start with Reo Hatate forcing a big save from Zander Clark inside one minute. Seconds later it was Aaron Mooy who put the Jambos to the sword, smashing home a cross from Jota to open the scoring. Celtic looked dominant despite surviving a scare through a big Joe Hart save before Hatate went close again.

On the stroke of half time a moment of individual magic from Kyogo Furuhashi made it two as he raced to the near post to delightfully back-heel the ball in in the last action of the first 45. The second half saw a bit of back and forth but with the away side still having a firm grip and Clark forced in to a few smart stops. That was before the win was sealed by Cameron Carter-Vickers who powered a header in after some great movement.

Joe Hart - 7

Big save on 22 minutes in a crucial moment. Looked strong for the rest of the encounter.

Alistair Johnston - 7

Looked lively and found an inch-perfect cross for Kyogo's goal. A good outing defensively and in an attacking sense.

Cameron Carter-Vickers - 9

Looked steady but had a good chance with a free header. Steadied the ship when Kobayashi came on. Scored his chance with a top header much to his delight.

Carl Starfelt - 5

Strong and commanding from the off but was replaced on the break with a supposed injury.

Greg Taylor - 6

Run of the mill from the full-back with no real errors.

Aaron Mooy - 9

A top finish early on and was bossing the midfield at times. Was unwavering in the challenge and his movement. A top display.

Callum McGregor - 7

Always looking for space and looked on it. Was drawn in to a few individual battles but stood his ground.

Reo Hatate - 7

Strong effort in first minute and looked comfortable when striding forward. Did lose the ball a few times but not in crucial areas.

Kyogo - 8

Couldn't quite be set free in the first half until he found the space to beautifully backheel in to the net.

Jota - 8

Was alert to spot the chance for the opener. Looked a top threat. Should have scored amid big save from Clark.

Sead Haksabanovic - 6

Always a willing runner and was able to link-up well. Couldn't quite impact the game in a bigger sense.

Subs:

Yuki Kobayashi - 6

Looked steady coming on and cleared a few dangers.

Liel Abada - 5

Got on the ball enough but passing lanes were cut out.

Oh - 4

One chance hit off him in the final stages.

Matt O'Riley - 6

A good ball in for Carter-Vickers to score from.

Tomoki Iwata - 4

On for the final ten with no issues.
