Ange Postecoglou faces a potential Celtic selection headache next term as the final dates for next season's Asian Cup have been revealed by organisers.
The tournament was postponed until January 12 and February 10, 2024 and will now take place in the midst of a heated Scottish Premiership battle, and while the winter break is expected to run between January 3 to January 19 next term the Hoops could be without as many as eight players for the tournament, especially if Tomoki Iwata makes his move permanent. Hearts could be without a trio of stars as well if Kye Rowles, Cammy Devlin and Nathaniel Atkinson are called up. Garang Kuol is on their books as well, but his loan from Newcastle United is up at the end of the current campaign.
Martin Boyle won't play again for Hibs this season but they're hopeful he'll back to his best after the summer. They lost him to injury ahead of the 2022 World Cup when his lengthy layoff was confirmed just after he joined up with the Socceroos squad in Qatar. If he's invovled in the Asia Cup then everyone at Easter Road will be hoping he gets through it unscathed.
Record Sport looks at every player that could be required for their country in the tournament next year.
