Celebs let loose at Glastonbury - Laura Whitmore hen do to Pete Doherty signing fans

Glastonbury Festival is currently underway at Worthy Farm for it's 52nd year - and some of the biggest stars in the UK have descended on the five-day festival.

The iconic music event opened its gates on Wednesday afternoon with hundreds of thousands of music fans gearing up for a wild weekend of performances from some of the best acts in music including Sam Fender, Billie Eilish, and Diana Ross.

However, it wasn't just music fans who rushed to the gates once the festival opened up.

Actors, singers, and TV stars were also in the crowd as they excitedly prepared themselves for the fun-filled weekend ahead.

Former One Direction star, Louis Tomlinson, 30, was spotted enjoying a chilled out time with some friends before the big acts tonight as he sipped on a beer.

The former boyband singer looked in high spirits as he chatted with friends while dressed in a casual ensemble which consisted of a baggy white t-shirt and some beige shorts.

Elsewhere, radio star Zoe Ball looked in her element as she listened to the blaring tunes coming from the Pyramid Stage.

Zoe was enjoying some chill time with her husband and kids, having just got some dinner from one of the stalls, according to Somerset Live.

The Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy also appeared at the festival via video message as he addressed the crowd at Glastonbury festival on the big screens at the Other Stage on Friday.

He said: “Greetings Glastonbury. The festival resumes this year after a two-year break, the pandemic has put on hold lives of the millions of people around the world, but has not broken. We in Ukraine would also like to live the life as we used to and enjoy freedom and this wonderful summer. But we cannot do that because the most terrible has happened – Russia has stolen our peace.

“But we will not let Russia’s war break us, we want to stop the war before it ruins people’s lives in other countries of Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America – they are all under threat now. That is why I turn to you for support Glastonbury the greatest concentration of freedom these days and I ask you to share this feeling with everyone who’s freedom is under attack.

“Spread the truth about Russia’s war, help Ukrainians who are forced to flee their homes because of the war, find our United24 charity platform and put pressure on all the politicians you know to help restore peace in Ukraine.

“Time is priceless and every day is measured in human lives. The more people join us in defending freedom and truth, the sooner Russia’s war against Ukraine will end. Prove that freedom always wins! Slava Ukraine.”

The message was played ahead of The Libertines stage-opening set.

And ahead of the set, The Libertines frontman, Pete Doherty, was spotted signing autographs and taking snaps with some excited fans in the campsite.

The singer looked festival ready in a navy tank-top and peaked cap as he delighted fans with his presence.

Love Island host Laura Whitmore has also been posting enviable content from this year's festival.

The Irish star jokingly begged the current batch of Love Island contestants not to ruin her weekend, as she parties up a storm at Glastonbury Festival for her belated hen party.

The mum-of-one tied the knot with Scottish comedian Iain Stirling back in 2020, exchanging vows at Dublin’s City Hall on November 11 with limited guests watching on due to coronavirus restrictions.

But it seems the Love Island presenter is making up for lost time and enjoying what should have been pre-wedding festivities - dubbing her appearance at Glastonbury with her pals her '#glastHENbury'.

Ahead of one of the world's most famous music festival getting into the full swing of things on Friday, Laura has revealed how she's enjoying this year's offering with a glamorous twist - with personalised wristbands, a swanky helicopter arrival and a sweet tribute to the ITV2 show she presents, Love Island.

And Laura previously took to her Instagram Stories to share a look into her past wild Glastonbury experiences, as she shared what appeared to be a throwback of herself partying with former One Direction singer, Niall Horan at the festival in the past.

The music-loving star looked the part in a sequin silver playsuit and festival-chic fedora hat as she posed in snaps alongside singer Niall, 28, and other pals.

On Friday, Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were spotted looking casual at the festival.
