Author Cathy Kelly has said she has no interest in finding love again.
The 55-year-old recently revealed she had split from her husband John Sheehan after 10 years.
The pair officially broke up during the pandemic, parting ways in September 2020.
And Cathy said she just wants to focus on her new book, The Wedding Party, saying that while it is nice to date someone, she isn’t looking for anyone at the moment.
She said: “Em, yeah…. It’s very nice to date someone but at the moment I am just concentrating on working on my book.”
Cathy and John got married in a low key wedding in 2010, but now they have both moved on, and they have had time to come to terms with the news nearly 18 months later.
They are now focused on their twin teenage sons, who remain their priority.
They married in 2010 after a long-term relationship but broke up in September 2020.
Cathy, aged 55, told the Irish Mirror : “John and I have split up. It’s been over a year and four months now.
“We’ve both moved on and have had time to come to terms with it. For us, the most important thing is our sons and they remain our priority."
She added: “Obviously, it is incredibly sad to split with someone you’ve been with for so long.
“I’m in a new phase of life with Dancing With The Stars and my 22nd book is coming out in June. It’s a great start to 2022.”
Cathy was the first celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing With The Stars on Sunday night on RTE One with her pro dance partner Maurizio Benenato.
But she said that even though her time was short on the show, she said she didn't attract any male admirers despite the risqué costumes she had to wear on the ballroom floor.
“No. It hasn’t reached that,” she said laughing.
“Actually, when I think about it. That first dress. That dress was a bit scary. There was a lot of boobage going on and I was going ‘am I comfortable going out there with this much boob available’. But we pushed it back with boob tape to put it under more control. So no, there have been no male admirers.”
Cathy scored 15 points on Sunday night for her tango but she had failed to wow judge Brian Redmond who told her earlier in the night how her performance was “a bit too Debbie Harry and not quite Dirty Harry. It was OK, but didn't quite make my day."
Speaking about her time on the show, she said she really enjoyed her time on the show - and even noticed she lost weight while dancing.
“I think everyone does. I don’t know if I lost weight. I don’t really weigh myself but I just realised my jeans were getting looser. I have an Apple watch and I think it thought someone else was wearing it because there is a lot of work going on here.”
Asked who she wants to win, she said: “Oh god, there’s so many beautiful people. Literally. Gorgeous Grainne. I love Grainne. Nina is spectacular, like gorgeous Nina, she kept saying ‘I’m not pretty and I'm not sexy’ and she is so beautiful and sexy.
"Her dance tonight was spectacular. It’s such a little family. Ellen is just incredible. She is such a phenomenal dancer and an incredible person. I love everyone.
"Karen has been so good. Karen and Nicolas were in our bubble, and we used to have our lunch together. And Jordan is an absolute pet. There isn’t a person in it who wasn’t nice.”
