- Jamie Bell and Charlie Heaton have been announced as key cast members for a new Peaky Blinders spin-off series.
- Bell will portray Duke "Erasmus" Shelby, the new leader of the violent crime gang, with the story set in 1950s Birmingham, a decade after the film The Immortal Man.
- The series will explore a post-Second World War Birmingham, following an "older, wiser, more ambitious and more dangerous" Duke.
- Other cast additions include Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch, and Lucy Karczewski, making her television debut.
- Created by Steven Knight, the show has been commissioned for two series, each with six 60-minute episodes, and will be available on BBC iPlayer, BBC One, and Netflix.
