Carol Vorderman has delighted fans by confirming her return to our TV screens in the very near future.
The former Countdown star, 61, will make her Celebrity Gogglebox debut this Friday, after previously teasing her social media followers about a mystery TV project.
Carol will join the likes of Denise Van Outen and Spice Girl Mel C when she takes to her couch alongside pal Gyles Brandreth to become the latest famous TV critic on the Channel 4 show.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the mum-of-two broke the good news to her 226,000 followers by sharing a snap of herself and Gyles ready to watch the telly on an orange sofa with mugs in their respective hands.
She captioned the two images: "CELEBRITY GOGGLEBOX...
"So I'm making my debut this Friday 9pm on one of my favourite shows of all time and joining the @c4gogglebox gang....with my friend of 40 years @gylesbrandreth....
"Watch this week and let me know if you agree....we're a bit vocal [laughing-face emojis]....no holds barred [laughing-face emojis]
"Love G’box, love you…. so this is a must watch," presenter Gabby Logan quipped underneath Carol's update, with BBC weatherman Owain Wyn Evans adding: "I can already hear the laughing Mein CYNTAF dahling!! [love-heart emojis] xxxxxx lulululu."
One fan excitedly commented: "Omg this is just so bloody good!!!!! Gyles is just wonderful, what a pairing. Have fun and I'll look forward to seeing you both on Friday xx."
Gyles also shared the news of his new Gogglebox sidekick on his own Instagram page, telling his 105,000 followers: "A hot night in my house … my friend @carolvorders has popped round to watch the box with me. We’re having fun! And lots of it.
"I love @C4Gogglebox - #CelebrityGogglebox this Friday at 9.00 pm. Join us if you can."
Carol's Gogglebox confirmation comes after fans originally thought the maths whizz was planning a return to Channel 4 show.
The presenter, 61, was a regular fixture on the Channel 4 show from 1982 to 2008, which she co-hosted with Richard Whiteley.
The Weakest Link star Anne Robinson, 77, got the gig in 2021 only to quit last month to spend more time with her grandchildren.
Countdown fans got excited when Carol took to Instagram earlier this week to tease a new TV venture.
Sharing a pic of her in the back of a car wearing a turquoise blouse and designer sunglasses, she said: "On my way to work......can't wait to tell you what it is....Next week..
"This bird has decided to get back into work instead of hiding away for the last however many years........yup....expect trouble."
While many speculated that a Countdown comeback was on the cards, it's now known that Carol was filming for her Gogglebox debut.
Celebrity Gogglebox returns to Channel 4 this Friday, with Eurovision star Sam Ryder and BBC Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills just two new faces amongst the new lineup.
