Carol Vorderman has revealed that she is returning to Channel 4 - but after teasing fans with cryptic posted which left some wondering if she was going back to Countdown. Instead she will be appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox.
Carol will be alongside ITV This Morning star Gyles Brandreth for the episodes, and captioned the images: “Omg we have had a laugh.” She added: “CELEBRITY GOGGLEBOX.
“So I’m making my debut this Friday 9pm on one of my favourite shows of all time and joining the @c4gogglebox gang....with my friend of 40 years @gylesbrandreth....” She continued, BirminghamLive reports : “Watch this week and let me know if you agree....we’re a bit vocal ....no holds barred.”

Gyles was paired up with Dame Maureen Lipman on the show previously. She told the Radio Times: “I went in imagining that they wanted me for my wit and my brain. Of course, they just want to show you willies and for you to be shocked.
“Honestly, we were really funny together, but none of that was used. And if they don’t want to use what we gave them, f*** them.”
She went on to suggest Gyles will continue to appear on the show, but with another friend, saying: “It is from my point of view. I’m sure they’ll put someone else with Gyles.”
Earlier she had said teased a selfie on Instagram while travelling ‘to work’ in a ‘secret location’.
She told her 226,000 followers: “On my way to work......can’t wait to tell you what it is....Next week...
“This bird has decided to get back into work instead of hiding away for the last however many years........yup....expect trouble.”
Some fans got over-excited: “Oooh on your way back to the Countdown studio? Have a terrific time wherever you’re going.”
And a third told Carol: “Love to see you hosting Countdown.”
