Ulberg on his approach to fighting Potieria
“There’s always a few different gameplans that you have to work with. I knew that if I was patient in there, and I stood my distance, he would fall into a trap,” Ulberg said during a post-fight news conference (via FanSided).
Ulberg on connecting with a clean hook
“I knew. I saw his head go down, I saw his eyes roll back, and I knew it was done,” Ulberg said during his in-cage post-fight interview. “That’s the bottom line. That’s the way we go. Hurt and not get hurt, that’s the name of the game.”
Ulberg on walking off before the referee Keith Peterson stopped the fight
“As I was throwing, well, the first punch that landed, the check hook, he fell kind of awkwardly into me. So, I knew at that point, he was out to some point. And then, followed up with some hammerfists and punches. He was almost out at that point, and I don’t feel that if to put him out any more than that would do any justice. So, I just walked off thinking, ‘I think that’s it.’ Then Keith came in and finished the show.”
Ulberg on bonuses and ranked opponents
“I don’t do names, but I do numbers. I know there’s a top 15 coming, but soon, you know what they say, when it rains it pours. So, pour on the cheddar and make it better, baby.”
