A career criminal is back behind bars again after he and his then girlfriend ransacked a shop.
Lee Owens was jailed for three years earlier this week after a burglary in Maghull last year. He was caught after an off duty police officer spotted him in a restaurant moments before Owens tried to pickpocket a diner.
The 43 year old has 56 convictions for more than 160 offences stretching all the way back to the 1990s. A judge at Liverpool Crown Court said earlier this week that there were only a few years since then when Owens hasn’t committed crime. He now faces another lengthy jail stint after he and Lisa Fletcher targeted Ryat Menswear on Moreton Way on November 21, 2021.
