The Arizona Cardinals have re-signed a pair of their exclusive rights free agents. They announced on Wednesday they re-signed linebacker Jesse Luketa and offensive lineman Carter O’Donnell for the 2024 season.
Luketa was a seventh-round pick in 2022. He bounced between the roster and the practice squad as a rookie. This past season, he played in 14 games, starting once, and had 10 tackles, one tackle for loss, one quarterback hit and one special teams tackle.
He also logged a few offensive snaps as a fullback.
O’Donnell, after three seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, was claimed off waivers by the Cardinals before the season. He played in five games, starting three times at left guard.
As exclusive rights free agents, they would have been unable to sign with any other team unless the Cardinals did not tender them an offer.
However, Luketa and O’Donnell re-signed before technically becoming free agents in May.
Exclusive rights free agents are players with fewer than three accrued seasons whose contracts expired.
