A police investigation is underway after a car was torched on a Scots residential street.
Emergency crews were called to the blaze on Cluny Place in Glenrothes, Fife, after receiving a report of a Volkswagen Golf on fire at 11.50pm on Wednesday, May 3. Dramatic images from the scene show the rear of the vehicle engulfed in flames.
Officers investigating the incident are treating the fire as wilful. Inquiries remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At 11.50pm on Wednesday, May 3, police were called to a report of a Volkswagen Golf on fire at Cluny Place, Glenrothes. The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.”
The Record approached Scottish Fire and Rescue for comment.
